You may find the following a useful Guide for tuning Radios around Gloucestershire:- Ridge Hill Transmitter near Ledbury - Covers most of North and West of the County
Areas around Cheltenham and Gloucester are supplemented by - Churchdown Hill
In the very North of the County, Sutton Coldfield often provides the best reception
In the South of the County, Wenvoe is likely to provide best reception but see below
Around Chalford, use the local relay transmitter frequencies (Aerials Vertical)
Around Nailsworth, use the local relay transmitter frequencies (Aerials Vertical)
Towards Oxford, use the following transmitter frequencies
And very locally around Cirencester, use the local relay frequencies (Aerials Vertical)
BBC Radio Gloucestershire is on 104.7MHz or 95MHz around Stroud and 95.7MHz around Cirencester. Severn Sound is on 102.4MHz and 103MHz around Stroud. CAT FM is on 107.5MHz for Cheltenham and Tewkesbury. BBC Radio 5 Live is 693KHz (Droitwich) in the North and 909KHz (Clevedon) in the South of the County. BBC Radio 4 Long Wave is on 198KHz from Droitwich. Digital Commercial Radio can now be received locally from Churchdown Hill or Ridge Hill but an outside band III aerial is probably necessary for BBC digital radio transmissions. Turners Hill, Mendip and Wenvoe are the other transmitters likely to provide a digital radio service in Gloucestershire. * - Only from Main Stations
